The Friday Five

The Friday Five

Our highlights from this week are:

1. Offbeat ephemera and typographic curiosities

We received our copy of Anthony Burrill's Look & See, its a "personal selection of offbeat ephemera and typographic curiosities." It's the debut publication from  Volume, a new publishing platform for high-quality illustrated books and it's a thing of beauty.

2. Big Knight Out

In honour of the glorious return of Vic & Bob's Big Night Out on BBC4

3. Antarctic Advent Calendar

You may have noticed that we launched our free-to-download Advent Calendar this week. We've done one every year since 2012. This year it has an Antarctic theme. It's inspired by one of our customers Helen, a seabird scientist, who is heading off to Antarctica with the Homeward Bound project which aims to shape a more sustainable future for us all.

If you haven't downloaded yours yet you can do so from here. Feel free to share it and tag your progress pics with #womadvent18, then we can all enjoy your masterpiece.

4. Grown Up Party Bags

It was such a treat to be given "Party Bags" when leaving our friend Rosie Johnson's party.

They included these fantastic Rosie-made Midlife Tattoos.

She is an amazing human and you can look at the other things she does on her website.  If you happen to be in Exeter this weekend she's organising the Etsy Made Local Christmas Market

5. And finally, still on tattoos

Bye for now xx
